Renting a car in Tenerife from Poul’s Auto is easier than you might expect. We hope to remove any hesitations you might have with our most common questions from our rental customers.
We offer convenient airport service at both flight arrival and departure (if you have rented a car for at least 5 days). Airport service TF-North for an additional charge of 15-25 € (seasonal).
We can deliver your car to any hotel in the South, or to either the South or North Airport thus helping you avoid added taxi or bus costs and hassle.
Your rental car includes fully comprehensive insurance with additional coverage for public liability and bail bond, with unlimited guarantee, CDW (Collision Damage Waiver). This insurance does not cover reckless driving.
Don’t get surprised with extra charges, everything’s included for multiple drivers. There is no prepay or extra payment, only the price on the quote we give you.
Don’t feel locked in if your plans change, cancellation for your reservation is available until the last day (24 hours before) free of charge.

Your car rental is for as many drivers over 23 (with valid licence) you want to include on your rental contract.
We do not make money on petrol! You are responsible for fuel and deliver the car with about the same fuel load as you received it.
We have less expenses and pay less overhead costs than larger rental car companies, which means we pass those savings onto you.
You can either leave your rental car at your accommodations, at our office, or even directly at the Tenerife South Airport.
We have rental vans that can fit up to 9 people comfortably, so let us know your requirements and we will let you the best choices.
Traffic rules are EU standardised so that you will not encounter many differences to your home country. Customers from outside the EU please enquire before.
Any rental must be completed by a valid driver 23 years or age or more.
Maximum speed on highways: 120 km/h
Maximum speed outside of towns: 90 km/h
Maximum speed inside of towns: 50 km/h
The roads are well developed and also in good condition in the majority of the mountains and roads available in Google Maps.

Tenerife drivers are quite friendly and generally patient. There are always exceptions so always remember to follow all traffic rules.
We recommend Google Maps you can download to your smart phone along with an “offline map” of your area to save data. As well we offer an island map and many insider tips for restaurants and excursions.
